DealMatch

The five-dimension score behind every match.

For founders evaluating fit, and advisors scoring deals — here’s how the same five signals work in your favor.

Five scored dimensions

Sector fit

25%

Exact match to our active sectors (fintech, saas, healthtech, marketplaces, infrastructure, climate) scores 100; proximity scales the score down.

Advisors score the same sector-stance map the network ranks by, so a deal mis-tagged here drags the total even if the team is strong.

Stage fit

25%

Ordinal match against the network center (seed). One stage off costs 30 points; two stages off drops to zero.

Tells founders where they sit on the round ladder and helps advisors pre-filter deals the network doesn’t write checks at.

Traction signal

20%

Heuristic on description length plus the keywords arr, mrr, customers, users, revenue — a substitute until real metrics land.

A short, keyword-light description simply scores lower. Founders can lift this dimension by naming numbers explicitly in the intake form.

Geography

15%

100 if the description mentions a known hub (nyc, sf, la, austin, boston, chicago, london, remote); 60 otherwise. Heuristic only.

Remote-friendly investors are in scope, but mentioning a city in the deal narrative is a cheap lift on this dimension.

Check size fit

15%

Overlap math against the ideal $500,000 – $5,000,000 network band, with a ±20% band around the deal’s target raise.

A raise outside the network band scores zero on this dimension even if the rest of the deal is perfect. Advisors use it to drop mis-sized rounds fast.
